The Cathay Open Division was a tournament organized by the Cathay authorities of Solaris VII fought mostly on Heavy and Assault BattleMechs in the Jungle.
It was an important tournament who could make the winner have a slot in the Grand Tournament.[1]

Each Gladiator uses The Jungle's installations.[1]

The tournament is fought only in The Jungle.[1]
