Plot Summary[edit]
Colonel Matthias Vidar, second-in-command of the Vega Republic Standing Guard is caught up in a fight with rogue elements of his own unit under Major Per Yannic at Mining Site XA12 near the Vegan city of Jalonjin. Despite Vidar's efforts to avoid higher casualties among the troops, the ongoing battle is devastating for both sides and several BattleMechs and combat vehicles are destroyed and their crews killed; leaving Vidar behind in despair.
