Chiana Barclays was a Major General in the Star League Defense Force.

She rose to the commanding post of the 118th BattleMech Division in 2764.[1]
When in 2763 General Mohammed Nagenda, the commanding officer of the XXX Corps was promoted and posted out of XXX Corps to command the SLDF Eleventh Army, his replacement, Erwin Moeller, was promoted from within XXX Corps, leading to a chain of promotions to fill the various empty posts; the process led to two of the divisional commanders within XXX Corps being left resentful and disgruntled over Moeller's promotion, each feeling that they were a better candidate for the Corps command post. Fortunately, Moeller was able to rely on his direct command staff, who were left largely unchanged after his promotion and who continued to pick up a substantial share of the workload as Moeller learned the intricacies and responsibilities of his new post.[2]
Chiana Barclays and Trevor Chan were those Major Generals, although Barclay was actively working to overcome her resentment by 2764, unlike Chan. Frequent drilling and war gaming has pushed the division to exhaustion, causing them to incur higher casualties than normal while guarding the Lyran border. Moeller has been slow to reprimand Barclays, for fear of adding another enemy to his busy workload.[2]
