Cobb Snider was a member of the Crimson Sabres during the pirate band's campaign on Novo Tressida within the Magistracy of Canopus in the mid-3060s. Following the Sabres' assassination of Duke Tremain Garson along with the deaths of a number of other people the mercenary command known as Pike's Pikemen were hired to protect the planet and the new Duke, Cornel Garson. When the Pikemen fought the decisive battle against the Crimson Sabres that saved the life of Duke Cornel Garson on the 6th of July 3066 Cobb was serving as leader of the Crimson Sabres' Katana Lance. Seven Crimson Sabre 'Mechs were downed by the combined forces of the Pikemen and the Ducal Guard, and the pirate leader Hanson Toliver was captured in that battle.[1] It is currently unknown if Snider survived the battle.
