History[edit]
Cornelius Kaffenberger III worked for Nik's Cavaliers but had "differences of opinion" with Commander Nikolai Mason, eventually leaving to join Daron's Demons.[1]
Daron's Demons took a job to destroy a munitions warehouse at a forward operating base on the Draconis Combine border with the Federated Suns. They were briefed that there would be a lance of local militia 'Mechs at most, but instead they encountered an entire company from the Galedon Regulars. The entire crew was KIA except Goblin, who barely escaped with his 'Mech. Despite having destroyed the warehouse, the employer refused to pay because the contract was with the now-defunct Demons, not Goblin.[1]
Hearing that Nikolai had died, Goblin spent the rest of his money tracking down the Cavaliers. Needing a favor, he asked CO Ryana Campbell if he could be allowed to rejoin the Cavaliers.[1]
His boasts include having defeated a company of 'Mechs by himself, taking out an assault 'Mech in one shot, and stealing a pie from the Bounty Hunter.[2]
BattleMech[edit]
Goblin piloted a PXH-1K Phoenix Hawk during his first stint with Nik's Cavaliers. After his departure, he stumbled upon and salvaged a rare PHX-1b which he fondly called Kobold. With most of the 'Mech's advanced technology destroyed beyond repair, Goblin adjusted the loadout to something he was more familiar with and also bolted on a pair of SRM launchers.[3]
