The Cumbres system was colonized during or shortly after the First Exodus from Terra and was a member of the Protectorate of Donegal, prior to the formation of the Lyran Commonwealth in the mid-twenty-fourth century.[3]

Clan Invasion era[edit]
Cumbres was the target of a raid in April 3057 by a Clan Steel Viper Trinary under the command of Star Captain Dawn. In the ensuing battle the Fourth Viper Guards unit and the defending company from the Twenty-fourth Lyran Guards were attacked and defeated by an unidentified third party.[30][31]
