The Cyrton system was home to at least one habitable world or construct and as of 3145 was located in the June Operational Area of the Periphery March within the Federated Suns.[1][2]

System Description[edit]

The Cyrton system is located near the Organo and Verdigreis systems.[1][2]

System History[edit]

The Cyrton system was colonized by the Taurian Homeworlds in 2317 (see notes)[3] and became a member of the Taurian Concordat when that nation formed in the early twenty-fourth century.

In 3025, pirates disguised as a House Davion scouting party raided Cyrton from the nearby system of Montour, hoping to coax the Taurians into war with the Federated Suns in attempt to make Taurian worlds easier targets for plunder. The Taurian Defense Force tracked them to Pirates Haven, where Marshal Morton Grenadine led the Taurian Guard in neutralizing this band of pirates.[41]

  • The Periphery indicates that Cyrton was founded by colonists from Taurus in 2317. However, it describes Cyrton as being one of five worlds colonized by settlers from Taurus between 2310 and 2330, all of which are described as being within Flannagan's Nebulea, and that later colonization efforts extended as far away from Taurus as Midale, Brockway, and Hyalite. Cyrton's position on maps is approximately twice as far from Taurus as Hyalite, indicating that this is an error.[3]
