The BattleTech Daggerstar Keychain was announced by Catalyst Game Labs as a reward item available their crowdfunding effort for the BattleTech: Clan Invasion [Kickstarter campaign] which ran from 18 July 2019 to August 18 2019. The keychain was announced as a stretch goal, unlocked when the campaign reached $440,000 in funding. No image was available for the keychain, which was depicted using a representative red daggerstar icon during the campaign advertising.

All of those backing the Kickstarter had the option to add a Daggerstar Keychain to their pledge as an add-on item, at a cost of $10 USD. All of the Kickstarter backers who pledged at the Star Commander pledge level ($50 USD) or above received a Daggerstar Keychain as a reward; the exception was the Merchant Caste pledge level, accessible to retailers only, which included 6 Daggerstar Keychains. The Daggerstar Keychain was described as an exclusive item in the stretch reward description.
