History[edit]
Hannsen initially joined the First Genyosha as a fresh busosenshi around 3039, becoming a member of a fire support company. At the time his superiors hoped he would live up to the legacy of his mother Kyoko Hannsen, who had served with distinction as part of the Eighth Sword of Light during the Battle of Misery.[1]
He was however not until he was on a tour of duty with the Benjamin Regulars, during the First Combine-Dominion War, that he truly came into his own. During this conflict he repeatedly managed to coordinate long range missile fire on Clan Ghost Bear positions with scant intel, with such effect it helped turn the tide of several engagements.
Though he claimed it was more luck than skill, he gained a reputation as one of the best field support officers in the DCMS, and returned to the First Genyosha as a Chu-i.[2][3]
BattleMech[edit]
Hannsen was known to pilot one of the few remaining BMD-12D Bombardiers BattleMech, which he inherited from his mother Kyoko Hannsen.[1][2][3]
