History[edit]
Dean Sohnle's origins are unclear, though his background as merchant, smuggler, JumpShip pilot, and mechanic suggest he's a true jack of all trades. Rumors were that he was once in trouble and he started working full time as a 'Mech pilot for Bannson's Raiders.
After a death in his family, he inherited the "family business": a small group of versatile and eager mercenaries known as Reel's Roughriders.[1]
Sohnle was highly sought after for his uncanny ability to quickly predict the consequences of battle decisions. It was said that he worked as a JumpShip pilot.[1]
BattleMech[edit]
Dean Sohnle piloted a XNS-01-A Xanthos called Chikako (this can be translated as Son of Wisdom).[1]
Notes[edit]
- Sohnle is the in-universe counterpart of 2003 MechWarrior World Champion Dean Sohnle. Among the prizes for the 2003 World Championships was the chance to create one's own BattleMech to appear in a future set. Sohnle, who ran a Bannson's Raiders force to victory in the 2003 tournament, helped design the Xanthos.[2]
