Star Commander Dot "Patches" Nostra was a Clan Nova Cat MechWarrior, and Bloodnamed warrior of the Nostra Bloodhouse, during the Dark Age Era.[2]

Nostra's relaxed social attitudes were notable even amongst the relatively lenient Nova Cats, which led to her being handpicked by Khan Jacali Nostra, to participate in an unusual combined Kurita–Nova Cat unit. As the Republic of the Sphere started to falter, she was appointed to be joint commander of the Mu-teki (Invincible) Lance together with Kasumi Cho, which was formed with an equal number of Draconis Combine and Nova Cat troops.
Befitting Nostra's unorthodox preferences, she freed her recently captured bondswoman Arzu Shishekli,[3] so that she could serve as one of her lancemates. While with the Mu-teki, she allowed her lancemates to call her "Patches", and agreed with Cho before each battle who would take overall command.
Despite the bonds formed between Clan and Inner Sphere members of the Mu-teki, they did not survive Nova Cat Rebellion, during which Dot returned to Irece and died in nuclear fire during her Clan's last stand defending their genetic repository against the Combine.[1][2]

Nostra was known to have piloted a SCT-VP-M Shadow Cat III OmniMech, nicknamed Lightfoot.[1][2]
