Double-Blind, by Loren L. Coleman, is a story of Avanti's Angels.

The novel was made available on BattleCorps on 03 September 2009 as a PDF file (text only, without cover, pictures, or any other interior artwork except for the usual BattleCorps frame graphics). The PDF copy includes a disclaimer stating that it was created from a pre-final edition text that might differ from the printed version and that canon-wise, the print edition trumps the PDF edition.

The novel is also provided in digital form as a free reward for all backers of the 2023 Mercenaries Crowdfunding Campaign.

Using fast and furious hit-and-run tactics, Marcus GioAvanti and his Avanti's Angels mercenaries have earned a tough reputation throughout the Inner Sphere. The Magistracy of Canopus has been the target of aggression by the Marian Hegemony, and in hiring Marcus and his gutsy band of can-do commandos, it hopes to retaliate. Marcus and his "Angels" will have to face the real force behind the hostilities—the religious cult known as Word of Blake. A German edition, translated by Reinhold H. Mai, was published by Heyne in 1998 as Blindpartie (ISBN 9783453126541).[1] This was republished as an EPUB by Ulisses Spiele in 2019 as BattleTech Legenden 36 : Blindpartie (ISBN 9783963312038).[2]


A Russian edition, translated by S. Samuylov, was published by Армада-пресс (Armada-Press) in 2001 as На линии огня (ISBN 5309002839) as part of a series produced in collaboration with Дрофа (Drofa). [3][4]
