The Dream of Kessel was one of the four Kyushu-class frigates to be undergoing shakedown trials in late 3058 before entering service with the black water navy of the Draconis Combine as the DCS Dream of Kessel. The sister ships to the Dream of Kessel undergoing extensive trials at the same time were the DCS Draconis Rift, the DCS Luthien and DCS Victory at Wolcott, although only the Draconis Rift was undergoing trials in the Dieron system alongside the Dream of Kessel.[1]
As two Kyushu were reported destroyed in Operation BULLDOG,[2] and all other known vessels of that class are reported in other battles after the end of the Clan Invasion, it is presumed that the Dream of Kessel and the Pride of New Samarkand were lost in battle against Clan Smoke Jaguar.
By 3067 the Dream of Kessel was no longer listed as an active black water naval asset of the Draconis Combine Admiralty.[3]
