On 7 March 3074, as Clan Ghost Bear fought the Word of Blake on Radstadt, Drysdale was caught in the radioactive discharge of a Blakist neutron bomb, his death guaranteed. To die fighting, he became part of a special unit of radiation-poisoned forces, then-informally called The Walking Dead, and participated in a suicide mission: an attack on the 43rd Shadow Division's DropShips from the unexpected direction of irradiated Munich. Aided by drugs that kept them able to fight but accelerated their deaths, the Walking Dead laid the groundwork for the destruction of most of the 43rd's DropShips in their dying moments.[1]
Drysdale died by detonating his own fusion reactor, destroying two Blakist BattleMechs in the blast.[1]
