Durn was a warrior from Clan Steel Viper.[1]

He was a Star Captain of the 202nd Striker Cluster, then part of Delta Galaxy. During a raid against Federated Commonwealth forces, the Star Colonel of the unit was manipulated into including his DropShips in the bid by the opposing commander. This allowed the FedCom fighters to target them, destroying two-thirds of the 202nd Striker in their transports, and sending the remainder of the Cluster into retreat. As punishment, the now dezgra Cluster was stripped of its front-line status, renamed as the Eighty-third Fang and transferred to Psi Galaxy on Bensinger.[1]
He was the highest-ranking officer left after the debacle and was promoted to Star Colonel of the unit, a rank he maintained from 3061 to 3067.[1]
