The El Giza Ghost Riders were a mercenary unit of unspecified size and composition operating during the Third Succession War.[1]
History[edit]
Employed by the Free Worlds League, the Ghost Riders would abruptly abandon their contract without warning, resulting in the Free Worlds League Military issuing arrest warrants for the unit on charges of dereliction of duty and prompting the Mercenary Review Board to impose sanctions barring the hiring of the Ghost Riders.[1]
With the incensed mercenaries unwilling to surrender to the League and unable to take on any MRB contracts, the El Giza Ghost Riders fled to the Periphery as they attempted to take refuge in the Marian Hegemony. Ordered to provide tribute to Imperator Marius O'Reilly in exchange for clemency in the Hegemony, the uneasy Ghost Riders were forced to turn to piracy, raiding the Magistracy of Canopus. As of 15 March 3020, the El Giza Ghost Riders struck the largely agricultural world of Bethonolog, with the First Canopian Fusiliers sent to defeat them.[1]
