History[edit]
Star League Era[edit]
Of the various brigades of Regulars active within the Draconis Combine Mustered Soldiery during the Star League era, the regiments of the Benjamin Regulars - including the Eleventh Benjamin Regulars - were considered to be the most flexible. This was a reflection of the reality that the Regulars could at any point be called on to fight against the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns, the Lyran Commonwealth Armed Forces or the Star League Defense Force, as a result of the Benjamin Military District bordering the Federated Suns, Lyran Commonwealth and Terran Hegemony. This was even acknowledged by the Internal Security Force, who gave the Eleventh and the other regiments of the Regulars more leeway than the average DCMS unit - an attitude the Benjamin Regulars repaid by limiting complaints and criticism to supply issues and local concerns, rather than anything to do with politics.[4]
The Eleventh Benjamin Regulars were formed in 2781 as a light mixed Regiment with one Battalion of 'Mechs and two of Armor.[1]
For the next 200 years the unit was involved in several battles, among them the repression of the Junction mutiny.[1]
Second Hidden War[edit]
The Eleventh Benjamin Regulars were the first DCMS unit to cross the border between the Draconis Combine and the Federated Suns when the Second Hidden War began, attacking the Federated Suns world of Marduk on the 9th of March 2725.[5]
Third Succession War[edit]
In 3001, the unit's poor management and neglect marked its weakest point, with less than 28 light and medium 'Mechs at his disposal. When the Eleventh met a Steiner regiment on Sevren, it took less than an hour to have the unit spit out.[1]
The regiment was kept off-the-rolls until Warlord Yoriyoshi convinced Coordinator Takashi Kurita to rebuild the unit. In late 3023, Yoriyoshi promoted Innocent IV to General. He changed the unit's profile and demanded that his men master essential light regiment techniques. He also moved the unit's base on Tripoli to the middle of the planet's petrified desert, where the unit underwent extensive training. The unit was at its peak by 3025.[1]
The Eleventh participated in the Galtor campaign during 3025, where it performed well and received only 15,2% casualties.[1]
Fourth Succession War[edit]
During 3029 the Second Robinson Rangers were stationed on Breed. The Eleventh attacked the world on June 7th[6] of that year. The Rangers finally managed to push the Regulars back off world on June 19th.[7]
Clan Invasion[edit]
The Eleventh was disbanded before 3059 with the survivors integrated into the 3rd Benjamin Regulars.[2]

Tactics[edit]
Star League Era[edit]
The Eleventh Benjamin Regulars favored a strong combined-arms approach, but otherwise were a generalist unit, and deliberately fielded a wide range of BattleMech classes to encourage adaptation to changing circumstances.[4]
Third Succession War[edit]
During the Galtor Campaign, the Eleventh Benjamin Regulars was composed primarily of light 'Mechs and specialized in reconnaissance and fast strike missions.[9]
In 3025 the unit was specialized in city fighting.[12]
