Elizabeth Langley was the commanding officer of the First Proserpina Hussars as of 3025.[2]

Sho-sho Langley, serving with the First Proserpina Hussars, was stationed on Orestes in 3025.[2]
During the Ronin War, Langley was no longer in command of the First Hussars but was present on Ueda when the unit—now Ronin—retreated to that world following their defeat at the hands of the Eleventh Legion of Vega on Grumium. Despite disagreements between the First Hussars' commander Tai-sa Rokuro Kamei and Langley regarding the Hussars' course of action, she volunteered to serve as an advisor for the Hussars when the Eleventh Legion arrived on Ueda to finish them off. Taking to the field alongside her granddaughter Kashira Ryleigh Langley, Elizabeth fought through fierce resistance and continued to attempt a breakthrough even after the Eleventh Legion flooded the battlefield by demolishing a levee. Afterwards, Tai-sa Kamei negotiated the surrender of the First Hussars and the reabsorption of its warriors into the Draconis Combine's military, although he and Langley were made to commit seppuku in order to restore their personal honor. With Ryleigh serving as her second, Langley undertook the act of ritual suicide on 11 July 3034.[1]
