Major Elliria McClure was a battalion commander in the Third Canopian Fusiliers when the Magistracy of Canopus began strengthening ties with the Capellan Confederation, something that did not sit well with McClure and others. In early 3069 she put out a call to Fusiliers who felt the same as her, and many quietly slipped away with their BattleMechs to rendezvous on Herotitus. McClure had been quietly establishing a cache of ’Mechs on planet, primarily older scouts. After recruiting heavily from the Dispossessed on planet she had nearly a regiment. Her first contracts as McClure's Hive were with the Fronc Reaches and the Calderon Protectorate.[1]
