Plot summary[edit]
On 7 August 3132, the HPG compound on Procyon suffers a series of problems. First, an ongoing technical issue redirects an eyes-only message from Exarch Damien Redburn away from its intended recipient, Knight-Errant Ravi Talwar, and towards a civilian. Then, as ComStar Adept Patricia Harwell attempts to calm Talwar and inform him of problems with the HPG, the compound is attacked. An LNG carrier is detonated on the road to the compound and forces in royal blue begin an assault.
Harwell and Talwar work together to survive as Republic soldiers, soon aided by Raidens in a bone white paint scheme, face the mystery attackers. Amidst the battle, Harwell and Talwar fight a small number of battle armor infantry, and Talwar saves Harwell's life.
After the fight, Talwar deduces, based on the Raidens and Harwell's training, that the Com Guards have been reconstituted. During a moment of mutual respect, Harwell murders Talwar using one of the attackers' weapons. She informs Precentor Jordan DeSolvo that Talwar died in the terrorist attack, only to discover a third problem: the HPG's core burned out.
