The Inner Sphere may be going to hell in a handbasket, but you are your team managed to land a gig far from the swirling chaos. Protecting a DropShip-load of Deep Periphery explorers picking over remnants of the long-lost Rim Worlds Republic may not be glamorous or exciting, but it pays well enough.

Then came the strange transmission from the latest destination—a dry, dusty, poisonous world in the middle of nowhere:

“Hail, unidentified vessel! You have entered Star League Imperial airspace without a recognized flight plan! Please declare yourselves and your intentions at once!”

BattleTech Adventures: Escape from Castle Wulfensteiner takes players to the forgotten worlds of the Deep Periphery, in search of mysteries lost to time and treachery. After three years of exploring, the search has finally come to SLSC A8V.24881. Escape from Castle Wulfensteiner includes a guide to this desolate world, personal biographies on several key players, and adventure Tracks designed for use with A Time of War: The BattleTech Role-Playing Game, A Time of War Companion, and MechWarrior: Destiny, as well as special rules and Record Sheets for key non-player characters and facilities unique to this story.

Canonicity[edit]

As an April Fools product, this PDF is explicitly considered non-canonical. The book also serves as parody book, with a number of references to favorite science fiction genres and franchises. The name of the product is a nod to the famous 1981 computer game Castle Wolfenstein, while its content clearly suggests a nod towards an inspired, first-person perspective shooter game from id Software, the Wolfenstein 3D, along with the next games from the series.
