Esteban de la Rosa was the commanding officer of Stiletto Company of the 212th Special Operations Battalion during the Republic Age.[2][1]

Captain de la Rosa transferred into the 212th Special Operations Battalion from the Tenth Hastati Sentinels just before the beginning of the Capellan Crusades and his time with Stone's Trackers proved divisive. A native of New Earth and a seasoned special forces soldier, de la Rosa overtly intended to use his time with the Trackers to attain higher rank within the Republic Armed Forces' SpecOps. He also clashed repeatedly with Battalion commander Major Aiko Ueda over the unit's operations prior to the Crusades, as de la Rosa's belief in defined objectives and routine opposed Ueda's reliance on adaptability and elite talents. The two officers' debate would never be settled either way, as Ueda was killed during the Crusades on Sarna and de la Rosa—the last of the Trackers' senior officers—was promoted to the Sanglamore Academy as an instructor.[1]
