The Evciler system contains at least one habitable planet or construct, and as of June 3152 was located in the Clan Hell's Horses Occupation Zone.[2]

The Evciler system is located near the Seiduts and Twycross systems.[3]

System History[edit]

The Evciler system was settled by the Lyran Commonwealth at some point during the Star League era after the end of the Reunification War.[4][3]

Planetary History[edit]

Star League[edit]

After the "Birthday Proclamations" of 2755, Evciler was the host to a garrison of Star League Defense Force troops. When the SLDF troops arrived in 2756, an outbreak of Edison White Flu broke out on Evciler's southern continent. The 245th Mechanized Infantry Division headed in-system to assist, but was then quarantined in 2758 with the rest of the continent. The outbreak broke in 2760 and the quarantine was lifted in 2761.[39]

Clan Invasion[edit]

Evciler was conquered by Clan Jade Falcon during the second wave of Operation REVIVAL in May 3050. The planet was only defended by the Evciler Militia, a green unit composed mostly of fresh recruits or aged veterans close to retirement. When the First Falcon Striker Cluster made planetfall the vast majority of the militia chose to surrender and spare their home from the ravages of war, an action which angered the Jade Falcons for its perceived cowardice. The lone exception was a young cadet, Takumi who nearly managed to defeat a Jade Falcon Warrior piloting a Dasher in single combat with his Locust. The cadet survived the ammunition explosion which destroyed his ’Mech and was made a bondsman.[19][40]

Refusal War[edit]

During the Refusal War, saKhan Vandervahn Chistu of Clan Jade Falcon would deploy the Seventy-third Striker Cluster, Sixth Provisional Garrison Cluster, Fifty-first Garrison Cluster and the Ninth Provisional Garrison Cluster on the planet's southern polar continent of Messian to battle Clan Wolf's Tau Galaxy. They would either destroy their Wolf attackers or heavily damage them.

When the Clan Wolf forces dropped on Messian the shadowed terrain played tricks on their eyes, the strong magnetic fields prevented them from using their magscan sensors and the erupting volcanos and geysers made infrared useless. At the Semore Chasm, Jade Falcons 'Mechs used their energy weapons to burn pits in the ice in which to conceal their machines against the approaching Wolf forces. The surprise of the initial ambush staggered the Wolf forces, but the heat from the Falcon weapons melted the ice pits further and drops several Falcon BattleMechs into the river below. After about twenty minutes fighting, the two sides broke off with similar losses.[41]

The Jihad[edit]

The planet was invaded again during the Jihad, when Clan Ice Hellion launched an invasion of Clan Jade Falcon holdings in the Inner Sphere in early 3071. Evciler was invaded by the Ice Hellions and captured in August 3071.[26][27] At some point, it appears that the Jade Falcons recaptured Evciler between August and October, as the Ice Hellions captured the world again in October.[42][43] The Jade Falcons struck back at Evciler again in December, before finally recapturing the world in late February 3072.[43]
