Description[edit]
Clan Jade Falcon designed the Eyrie to parallel the Cougar, cutting back on firepower for a more well-rounded approach. It was also the first Falcon BattleMech aimed at melee combat, departing from Clan tradition. First used in battle on the Lyran world of Zhongshan in 3087, it was since deployed throughout the Clan's Clusters as light 'Mech hunters and fast support, and it became popular among new sibko graduates. Its distinctive wings, common with later Jade Falcon designs, allow the Eyrie to dissipate heat almost as fast as it gains it. In addition, the partial wing adds approximately 60 meters to the Eyrie's 150 meter range.[2][4]
Weapons and Equipment[edit]
The Eyrie carries Type 3 Series ATM-3s, two Series 6a ER medium lasers, and four General Systems micro pulse lasers. It also includes talons in its legs, a sign of its melee-aimed design.[2]
Variants[edit]
There are no known variations of the Eyrie.
