Farah al Aawar was a notable member of the 212th Special Operations Battalion during the Republic Age.[1]

History[edit]

Sergeant al Aawar was born on Dabih just a few minutes before his brother Sa'id and hoped to one day join the Arkab Legions as a fulfillment of his Azami heritage. This dream was further fueled when the Azami worlds declared their independence from the Draconis Combine in 3072, encouraging Farah and Sa'id to train hard in the arts of ambush and camouflage, ultimately resulting in Farah becoming an expert in surprise attacks. When Daibh joined the Republic of the Sphere and dashed the brothers' hopes of joining the Legions, Farah convinced his brother to remain loyal to their homeworld and to enlist in the Republic Armed Forces with him. Assigned to Stone's Trackers, the al Aawars were posted to Gan Singh for their first assignment in 3085 when their platoon came under intense assault from Capellan guerillas. Farah took it upon himself to flank the numerically-superior partisans and launched a one-man surprise attack which, while successful in saving his brother and his squad, cost him his life.[1]
