The Farstar was a Star Lord-class JumpShip owned and operated by StarCross Starlines. In 3132, it disappeared under mysterious circumstances.[1]

History[edit]

The Farstar normally conducted trips between Republic of the Sphere Prefectures, along with routes covering the Draconis Combine and Federated Suns, carrying passengers and cargo.[1]

Sometime in 3132, the Farstar departed Ozawa, stopped at Sadalbari to pick up the Monarch-class DropShip Joshua, and set off. It never reached its next scheduled stop, Matar. On 25 July, after initial investigations by the Republic Transport and Safety Bureau, StarCross officially declared the JumpShip missing.[1]

At the time of its disappearance, the Farstar was carrying millions of C-bills worth of cargo, as well as up to 400 passengers and crew. Passengers included Senator Caressa Tarn-Manoj and Atlantics soccer player Hans Halruar. The Joshua carried, among others, art gallery worker Randy Morgan. The Farstar's manifests indicated it carried its full complement of six DropShips at departure, including three Buccaneers and two Mammoths, but a nearby JumpShip captain, Russell Barton, reported seeing only one Mammoth among the six.[1]

It is not known why the Farstar disappeared, nor what happened to it. A jump failure was suspected.[1]
