Expanded from the showcase First during the Republic era, the Federated Suns Armored Cavalry consists of three independent commands with shared names, insignias, and similar parade schemes.[1]
History[edit]
Long considered the sole bright star among the Armed Forces of the Federated Suns so-called independent commands, after all these units earned considerable praise for their performance during the Word of Blake Jihad, in the post-war rebuilding they were fast-tracked for repair and refit as they became the showcases for new hardware and new thinking as the AFFS High Command decided to form new commands around them. Though not considered a true brigade, a total of two additional Federated Suns Armored Cavalry units were formed during this period.[1]
Officers[edit]
Not technically a brigade, each commanding officer of the various units of the Federated Suns Armored Cavalry is independently responsible for solely their command.[1]

The units of the Federated Suns Armored Cavalry all adhere to the First's tenants of speed and firepower.[1]

Color Scheme and Insignia[edit]
The Federated Suns Armored Cavalry uses a variation of the Federated Suns Starburst as their Insignia. The Second has a history as a mercenary unit, Cunningham's Commandos, during which they used a different insignia. All three units use a parade scheme of Davion green with accents in a contrasting color: White for the First, sky blue for the Second, and yellow for the Third.[1]
