The unit fought in Pike IV. One of their own, John Judd saw his Phoenix Hawk destroyed by an enemy BattleMaster who cornered it in a city on Pike IV with its jump jets out.[1]
In 3012, elements of the 42nd were engaged by Right's Medium Lance of Pasquesi's Battalion that led the assault on the city of Paramus. The two Hunchbacks of the unit tear apart a screen of the light 'Mechs left by the 42nd and then charged into the central business district and knocked out three Crusader 'Mechs alone.[2][3]
In 3029, they were part of the Battle of Kawich.
