Francis Coughlin was the commander of the Federated Suns' Thirty-third Avalon Hussars as of 2841.[1]

Coughlin was the commander of the Thirty-third Avalon Hussars, when they conquered Northwind in 2481 during the Second Succession War together with the Davion Assault Guards, destroying the Third Kearny Highlanders and Stuart's Highlanders Regiments of the Northwind Highlanders.[1]

Coughlin was known to have piloted a MAD-3R Marauder BattleMech.[1]
