Gage van Buren was the commanding officer of the Third Battalion of the Sixteenth Galedon Regulars as of 3059.[1]

Chu-sa van Buren, serving with the Sixteenth Galedon Regulars, was stationed on Hachiman in 3059. While van Buren presented himself as a calm and relaxed individual, his viciousness in combat sharply contrasted with that persona. Most notably, van Buren would cause significant collateral damage during simulated battles in the urban environments preferred by the Sixteenth Regulars. When the Draconis Combine desired a city be taken intact, van Buren would cause damage by using structures for cover or as makeshift traps. Conversely, in settlements with looser rules of engagement, von Buren's men would intentionally cause collateral damage under the guise of accidentally missing weapons barrages or from pushing the remains of defeated enemy BattleMechs directly into civilian structures.[1]
