Plot summary[edit]
An orientation manual for those newly inducted into the Capellan Confederation's Servitor caste, it explains the criteria for becoming a Servitor, what sort of work Servitors are expected to do, what sort of support Servitors and their families receive from the Capellan state, what punishments they can expect if they do not comply, and how they can complete their term as a Servitor and earn Capellan citizenship.
The orientation section is followed by profiles of three notable Servitors, whose experiences can inspire others to provide superior service.

The overview notes that Servitors who opt for military service are assigned to Glorious Redemption Detachments in the CCAF. Cassie Suthorn was serving in one of these in Close Quarters, suggesting she failed her Capellan citizenship exams and was made a Servitor upon reaching maturity.
