The Golandrinas system was home to at least one habitable world or construct and as of 3145 was located in the Clan Jade Falcon Occupation Zone.[2][3]

The Golandrinas system was colonized by the Rim Worlds Republic between 2334 and 2338.[6]

Golandrinas is what is called an eyeball planet, meaning that one side of the planet almost permanently faces the star that it orbits around. As such Golandrinas does not have a day/night cycle but a fixed day side and night side.[42]

Planetary History[edit]

Early History[edit]

Golandrinas was one of seven worlds settled by colonists from the Rim Worlds Republic between 2334 and 2338 as an attempt by Maxwell Rowe to create a buffer zone between the Republic, the Draconis Combine and the Tamar Pact.[6] Most of the colonists where of Latino or Spanish descent.[1]

Star League Era[edit]

Golandrinas was a part of the Apollo Province of the Rim Worlds Republic and was conquered by the Lyran Commonwealth during the 2773–2775 Republic-Commonwealth War.[15]

Clan Invasion[edit]

In May of 3050, Clan Jade Falcon invaded Golandrinas as part of the Second Wave of Operation REVIVAL, sending the 124th Striker Cluster against the defending Golandrinas Militia, a small force with a company of BattleMechs supported by conventional forces. The militia attempted to stop the invaders by mining the Golandrinas Space Port with vibrabombs and digging concealed positions for its tanks and infantry. The mines were disarmed by the Cluster's Elementals, opening holes for its OmniMechs to advance and destroy over ninety percent of the militia. The scale of the destruction unleashed on the militia convinced the planetary government to surrender quickly.[25]

Jihad[edit]

Golandrinas was conquered again during the Jihad, when Clan Ice Hellion launched an invasion of Clan Jade Falcon holdings in the Inner Sphere in early 3071. Golandrinas was invaded by the Ice Hellions between 7 and 28 June 3071, but the Ice Hellion invasion stalled as heavy fighting continued on Golandrinas and other worlds throughout July 3071.[33]
