Lieutenant Gregory Hector was a MechWarrior, who served in the Northwind Highlanders' Stirling's Fusiliers, from at 3057 to 3058.[1][2]
History[edit]
Battle of Northwind[edit]
Hector was a member of Stirling's Fusiliers First Company, First Battalion as of 3057, in which role he participated in the defense of Northwind, following the Northwind Highlanders declaring independence from the Federated Commonwealth. On 20 October Hector was one of the Fusiliers who combat dropped on Northwind's Peace Park, following notification from the already on-world MacLeod's Regiment, that the Third Royal Guards were plotting to lure the Fusiliers into an ambush using stolen Highlander codes. Following the Fusiliers, the combined Highlander force was able to force the Third Royal Guards to retreat.[1]
Battle of Wayside[edit]
In 3058, Hector was part of the Stirling's Fusiliers' mission to attack Clan Smoke Jaguar's Deep Periphery base on Wayside, on behalf of the Draconis Combine. Surviving the initial assault, Hector rallied with Major Loren Jaffray, at the Bay of Kurita Prime. While there, he was one of the volunteers for covert mission using captured Smoke Jaguar OmniMechs, to which he was assigned with ten of his comrades. This mission was to impersonate a Binary of Clan Smoke Jaguar 'Mech, and raid Clan Nova Cat locations on worlds near Wayside, with the goal of encouraging them to launch a reprisal raid against the Jaguars on Wayside.
On 8 July, Hector and Major Jaffray participated in the first undercover raid of this campaign, conducting a Trial of Possession for charges from the Nova Cat's Deep Periphery Cat's Eye 009 Recharge station. In this Trial the two Highlanders fought against a Nova Cat Gladiator OmniMech and a Point of Elementals, from the 100th Strike Cluster.[2]
BattleMech[edit]
Hector was known to have piloted a SDR-9K Venom BattleMech.[1] During his covert mission against Clan Nova Cat in 3058, Hector also piloted a captured Smoke Jaguar Masakari Prime OmniMech.[2]
