Lance Sergeant Grigori Kubayev was an armor commander serving in the 5th Tikonov Home Guard in 2833.[1]

Operation LEOPARD[edit]
In May 2833, Grigori Kubayev was with the the 5th Tikonov Home Guard on Tikonov when the world was attacked by the Federated Suns during Operation LEOPARD. The Capellan Confederation troops retreated to the High Kremlin, a Star League-era fortification, after a few weeks of heavy fighting. The fortresses defenses were near impossible to defeat. However, seismic surveys found a weak spot in the defenses of the High Kremlin via an outlying firebase. Grigori was one of the firebase's defenders when a special detachment from the 2nd Ceti Hussars was sent to breach and enter the fortress via underground tunnels located underneath the firebase. The Federated Suns troops would successfully enter into the High Kremlin and all resistance was crushed within days.[2]
