Guideline:Updating information

The BattleTechWiki contains a lot of date-sensitive information which may require revision on a known future date.

Update after

Date-sensitive statements are marked with an indicator that appears on a specified date displaying (which links to this page).

If {{update after}} appears on a page, please edit the page to update the information and, as appropriate, delete the template or reset it to the next date the information needs to be updated. Please see Template:Update after, which has details on exactly when it may or may not be used, and what the required and optional parameters are. Other articles in need of updating can be found using the links listed below.

Update needed

Pages that been identified as needing information provided within a product not yet fully used within the article (and possibly currently under BattleTechWiki's moratorium policy), use the {{Update Needed}}. Doing so will also automatically place the article within the Sources needing updates category and tracked by Property:Update Needed From.

Also, please refrain from adding this tag unless you have good reason to believe that the additional source contains meaningful information on the subject at hand.
