Guther Ventna was an armored infantry officer in the Twenty-fourth Lyran Guards during the Jihad.[1]
History[edit]
First Leutnant Ventna went straight from graduating the Nagelring Academy in 3067 to an assignment in the severely under-strength Twenty-fourth Lyran Guards' Infantry Brigade. The Jihad broke out only a month after Ventna was given command of a squad of light battle armor and his unit was one of the few components of the Twenty-fourth Guards to survive the Word of Blake's orbital bombardment of Tharkad. In early 3069, Ventna and his men stumbled upon a Blakist attempt to ambush a column of Lyran forces. Ventna performed careful reconnaissance of the Blakists' positions before linking up with the troop column, giving them the opportunity to avoid the ambush while simultaneously hammering the Blakists with artillery fire. Ventna would later learn that Archon Peter Steiner-Davion was part of the force he had helped save.[1]

First Leutnant Guther Ventna operated a suit of Gray Death Scout battle armor during his time with the Twenty-fourth Lyran Guards.[1]
