Harmon Daly was a notable combat vehicle commander in the Fifth Avalon Hussars during the Dark Age Era.[1]

Sergeant Daly was an infamous daredevil whose proclivity for recklessness and bravery under fire was tested when the Draconis Combine's Hikage struck Remagen in 3148. When Prince's Champion Erik Sandoval-Groell was left unable to reach his BattleMech in time to evacuate, Daly carried him aboard his hovertank as his platoon raced the noble to the Fifth Hussars' waiting DropShips. The Hikage's pursuit proved to be lethal for the Federated Suns' tankers and Daly was the only survivor of his unit by the time he reached the Hussars' transports, as the rest of his comrades had flung themselves at their foes in order to safeguard Sandoval-Groell's escape. For his actions, the Prince's Champion awarded Daly with the Golden Sunburst, while his deceased compatriots were posthumously granted the Diamond Sunburst for their sacrifice.[1]
