Harrison Kent was the 2881 through 2884 Grand Champion.[1]

History[edit]

Harrison Kent was a flamboyant character who was able to offend everyone on Solaris during his rise to the top. He used to proclaim his greatness, even going so far as to predict which of his enemies 'Mech areas he would damage and at what point his opponents would be forced to eject.

He ended up overstepping his bounds in 2884, when, failing to note his opponent was fighting in a heavily modified 'Mech, his prefight predictions failed, and instead of adapting, he started a poorly conceived attack and it was he who ended up ejecting from his 'Mech. Because of that, when he retired in 2884, few were sorry to see him go, moreover, being relieved and confident they had seen the last of him.

They were wrong. After his retirement, he announced that he was going to become the host of Harrison Kent Report, a long running popular weekly trivid talk show in which he harangued about various aspects of 'Mech combat, politics, contemporary issues or mercilessly attacked his guest, who nevertheless continued to appear despite his fearsome reputation. Kent's death on air in 2891 drew huge ratings, leading to speculate that continued popularity would cause him to rise from the dead in order to further antagonize the Solaran populace.[2]

Tactics[edit]

His tactics were unpredictable, and at the same time he had an unerring sense of his opponent's strengths and weakness.[2]

BattleMechs[edit]
