Description[edit]
Introduced in 3059 by Clan Star Adder developed the heavy lasers to deal more damage, but the side effect of that was increased heat output. In addition, a subtle firing delay and interference with a BattleMech's sensors means that the weapon suffers from poor accuracy.[4]

The Clan Star Adder–developed Series 6A heavy medium laser is noted as matching the damage output, though not the range or accuracy, of the venerable Inner Sphere Parti-Kill PPC in a dramatically smaller package.[5]
