The Heliat system was home to at least one habitable world or construct and as of 2750 was located in the Brinton Union of the Taurian Concordat.[2][3][4]

The Heliat system is located near the Gangtok and Guldra systems.[2][3]

System History[edit]

The Heliat system was either colonized by the Taurian Concordat at some point during the Star League era after the end of the Reunification War, or was an already-inhabited system that became significant enough during this period for Inner Sphere nations to begin recording its location on maps.[5][2][3] Heliat vanished from maps during the First Succession War,[2][6][7] indicating that the system had been abandoned, depopulated, or rendered too insignificant to merit further recording.

Planetary History[edit]

Heliat is a pleasant agricultural backwater away from all major trade routes. The relative isolation the planet has endured has led to an insular and conservative culture centered on a local offshoot of Catholicism. Most of the inhabitants are involved in the agriculture industry. A single city, on the equatorial coast, is both capital and home to the lone spaceport.[1]

In the early part of the thirtieth century, Heliat joined the Aurigan Coalition.[49] By 3026, colonists from fellow Coalition systems Guldra and Coromodir were settling on Heliat.[1]
