BattleTechWiki Procedure This procedure page provides a step-by-step description of how to complete a task or a detailed explanation of a method of style employed on BattleTechWiki. Consider discussing potential changes on the talk page first. |
To quickly create a canon JumpShip article that matches the format in use with other canon JumpShips:
1. Open the new article.
2. Paste the following code into the edit field:
{{InfoBoxJumpShip |image= |Name= |Manufacturer= |Use= |Tech Base= |Cost= |Introduced= |Mass= |Length= |Sail Diameter= |Fuel= |Burn Rate= |Top Thrust= |Sail Integrity= |KF Drive Integrity= |LF Battery= |Armament= |Armor= |DropShip Capacity= |Crew= |Grav Decks= |Escape Pods/Life Boats= |Heat Sinks= |Structural Integrity= |BV (1.0)= |BV (2.0)= }} ==Description== ==Armament== ==Cargo== ==Variants== ==References== <references /> ==Bibliography== [[Category:JumpShip classes]] [[Category:JumpShip classes with Lithium-Fusion Battery]]
3. Delete the fields from image line from the code if you do not have a corresponding picture.
4. Replace the '???' from the other lines with the correct data. Note: JumpShip thrust is presented on Sarna.net in terms of g, rather than thrust points. 2 thrust points = 1 g. When quoting from a canon source, you must divide the listed thrust points in the source by 2 to obtain the correct value for use in an article.
5. Fill in the five sections (Description, Armament, Cargo, Variants, References) to the best of your capability. Leave the "Category:JumpShip classes with Lithium-Fusion Battery" categorisation if applicable, otherwise delete it.
6. Click on the Show preview button and review your article for mistakes.
7. Press the Save page button.
8. Bask in the pride of your article, with our thanks.
