Question about WarShip info box[edit]

If an existing Warship Class article has more fields than the Info Box in the WarshipClass template, should we remove the additional fields?

For example, the Aegis class article Info Box has a field for "AeroSpace Fighters/Small Craft". Should this field be removed from the Aegis class Info Box, so that the Aegis info box looks like the other Warship Class info boxes?

Yes, non-standard infoboxes is something I am trying to slay. So many editors copy/paste another article to help them start new articles that over time the simple one off can become a form of low-key disruptive editing (looking at all the Clan characters people removed the family sections from a few years ago). Eventually all the infoboxes will be upgraded so empty sections simply do not show.--Dmon (talk) 19:33, 8 August 2022 (EDT)
Acknowledged, I'll remove the part about Aerospace Fighters/Small Craft from the Aegis info box (which also helps with the aerospace fighter capitalization project, yay) 75.23.228.139 19:39, 8 August 2022 (EDT)
Morning, 75.23.228.139: there has been a mis-understanding of your question.
Because we don't like empty fields to display in articles' infoboxes, (where identified and possible) we allow the empty fields to "hide". As not all WarShips carry small craft & aerospace fighters, those that don't have the field empty and hidden. That doesn't apply to Aegis (WarShip class), because it does carry 10 & 18 elements respectively.
As for the site-wide "aerospace fighter" corrections, I've changed the copy & paste code for the template to reflect the changes and it will now show infoboxes with the corrected terms.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.--Revanche (talk|contribs) 08:04, 9 August 2022 (EDT)
