History[edit]
Hiram Laval was a Precentor within ComStar who rose to command the 207th Division between 3061 and 3067.[1][2]
When the bulk of the Word of Blake sympathizers left the unit along its leader Precentor IX Newton Fawcett, most of them traveled to the Free Worlds League and then to Terra, but a number of them seized ComStar HPG stations for the Word of Blake and forced the 207th's new CO Precentor, Hiram Laval, to use force to return them to ComStar control. Even with this done, with Laval unsure of how many of his remaining troops had Blakist sympathies and the large separation between the elements of the 207th and the other divisions of the 9th Army still leaving his troops open to Blakist manipulation, Laval self-imposed the unit a Questionable loyalty rating upon the whole of the 207th,[1][3] until he could not 100% confirm the removal of all Blakist sympathizers in his division.[2]
