Hohijo Bradbury was a battalion commander in the Ninth Benjamin Regulars during the War of 3039 and, later, served as a senior officer in the Benjamin Military District.[2][1]
History[edit]
In late August 3039, Gunji-no-Kanrei Theodore Kurita tasked a single battalion of the Ninth Benjamin Regulars with raiding the Federated Suns world of Cartago. Chu-sa Bradbury received plenty of volunteers for this mission and made planetfall on Cartago on 21 September. Bradbury kept his troops constantly on the move and repeatedly reorganized his unit compositions, leading the planet's militia defenders to believe they faced an entire enemy regiment. In a week of fighting, the Ninth Benjamin's battalion looted enough supplies to sustain a full regiment for a month of combat while simultaneously damaging much of Cartago's military and civilian infrastructure. Bradbury's strike also served to convince the Federated Suns that there was a full-scale offensive headed towards New Avalon, while in reality the Benjamin Regulars' raiders had returned to Proserpina at the end of their assault.[2]
By 3050, Bradbury had been promoted to the rank of Sho-sho and was serving under Tai-sho Elliot Tsein as executive officer of the Benjamin Military District's Proserpina Prefecture.[1] Following the Clan Invasion, Bradbury continued to serve as second-in-command of the Proserpina Prefecture under Tai-sho Fenton Worridge and held that post by 3054.[3] In 3059, Bradbury was still serving as executive officer of the Proserpina Prefecture under Tai-sho Worridge.[4]
