Rebellion[edit]

Since 3005, political discontent rocked Hongquio in response to new taxes issued by The Principality of Regulus. 3020 marked the beginning of out-right rebellion on Hongquiao. These rebels caught Marik forces off guard with the use of guerrilla tactics. The Regulan High Command then alienated even the civilian population due to its heavy-handed use of force.

Among the units that attempted to stamp out the rebellion was the Rolling Thunder Company. They operated on Hongquio from May to November 3025 to hunt down the rebels, however they failed miserably.[32][33]
