Horatio Redgrave was a notable officer in the Fifth Crucis Lancers during the late Succession Wars Era and the Clan Invasion Era.[1]

Then-Captain Redgrave was commander of a fire support company in the Fifth Crucis Lancers when the unit's regimental command staff was nearly wiped out by Capellan Confederation troops on Tikonov. Having received the officers' call for help, Redgrave charged ahead of his company and dealt devastating fire with his BattleMech's PPCs. When his comrades arrived to add their weight to the battle, half of the Capellans ended up destroyed and the other half were driven into a rout. Afterwards, Redgrave received an immediate promotion to the rank of major and retained his battalion command after the Federated Commonwealth rank reforms made him a kommandant.[1]

Kommandant Horatio Redgrave piloted an RFL-4D Rifleman during the late Succession Wars. In the Clan Invasion, he piloted an RFL-5D Rifleman.[1]
