History[edit]
With the creation of the Periphery March after the end of the Jihad, plans began to begin reconstituting the Broken Wheel Periphery March Militia in the early 3080s. However, as the Broken Wheel system was now part of the Filtvelt Coalition, the loyal citizens of the region rejected the idea. To sooth over matters, the March's command allow the unit to pick the name of their current homeworld. Thus the Hortense Periphery March Militia was born.[1]
The unit was first created by transfers from the Anjin Muerto Periphery March Militia, but soon grew as recruits from the local region began arriving.[1]
In a fitting twist, the unit was stranded on Stratford after a quick-charge jump from Kirbyville damaged their jumpship in June 3145.[2]
The unit was down on the the AFFS Quartermaster list and at some times it was passed for refit (one time for at least three years.[3]
