The family owned a BattleMech named Gray Lady (likely a Centurion)[See Notes] until 2970 when Ty lost his nerve and backed out of a deathmatch on Illyria the capital world of the Illyrian Palatinate. Ty would offer his tech Temperance MacCaulay ownership of the 'Mech if she would take his place in the match. she accepted and managed to knock her opponent's engine, thus claiming Gray Lady.[1]

- ^ While the exact type of 'Mech Gray Lady was is not specified, art featured with the story depicts a woman (presumably MacCauley) working on a 'Mech that has Gray Lady written on it. The 'Mech's visible head section in the picture is very likely that of a Centurion, with details virtually identical to the Centurion as depicted in the original Technical Readout: 3025.
