House Parata are one of the seven noble families that form the Founding Council of the Aurigan Coalition and traditional rulers of Tyrlon.[2]

House Parata was one of the families approached by House Arano and House Espinosa about forming the Aurigan Trade Partnership, which would become the Aurigan Coalition.[2] The House has focused on agriculture and aquaculture and is the least militaristic and expansionist of the Founding Houses. They were also one of the last Founding Houses to agree to join the original Aurigan Trade Partnership.[3]
During the Restoration War, the House supported the Aurigan Directorate only under duress, and then pledged loyalty to Kamea Arano once their system was liberated, though Henare Parata remained under suspicion afterward.[1]

House Parata owns a huge palace in the center of the "city on the clouds" on Tyrlon VI.[3]
The Tyrlon system boasts multiple habitable planets, and House Parata has not yet tapped the potential wealth they could get from them.[3]
