House Wong was one of the most powerful houses of the Rim Worlds Republic.

The Wongs of the Rim Worlds Republic were descendants of David Wong and his two children from his first marriage, who kept their last names, before he married Terens Amaris.[1] They were also maternal cousins of House Amaris,[2] indicating additional marriages between the two houses likely occured over the next 150 years or so.
They were regarded as one of the most important ruling houses,[1] which also included House Siever, House Marcus, and House Chan. When Selanta Amaris was appointed as a baby in 2622 to become the next president but wouldn't be sworn in until coming of age around 2639, the Republic was governed by a triumvirate of Protectors in the interim, one of whom was George Wong.[3]
Members of the family survived the Amaris Civil War, as Aleksandr Kerensky and his troops slaughtered everyone with the name Amaris but overlooked those with other last names. With the danger of being even distantly related to Amaris, the Wong family fled the Rim Worlds.[2]
